Our leadership consulting process

A structured, transparent approach that turns insight into action and action into measurable results.

How we work with you

Every engagement follows a proven five-phase framework, customised to your organisation's unique context and goals.

1

Discovery conversation

Every engagement begins with a complimentary discovery call lasting 45 to 60 minutes. This is not a sales pitch — it is a genuine conversation where we listen to your challenges, understand your aspirations and assess whether our expertise is the right fit. We ask questions about your organisational structure, the leadership behaviours you want to see more of, the pain points that prompted you to reach out and the outcomes that would make this investment worthwhile. By the end of this conversation, both parties have a clear sense of whether to move forward.

If there is alignment, we provide a brief written summary of what we heard and a proposed scope of work within five business days. There is no obligation at this stage — our goal is to demonstrate value from the very first interaction.

2

Diagnosis and assessment

Before designing any intervention, we invest time in rigorous diagnosis. Depending on the engagement, this may include confidential stakeholder interviews, 360-degree leadership assessments, team climate surveys, review of existing HR data (turnover, engagement scores, performance ratings) and observation of leadership meetings or team interactions. We use validated instruments such as the Hogan Leadership Forecast, DISC profiling and our proprietary Leadership Effectiveness Index.

The diagnosis phase typically lasts two to four weeks. At its conclusion, we present a comprehensive findings report to the sponsoring executive or steering committee. This report identifies strengths to leverage, gaps to address and the systemic patterns that are either enabling or undermining leadership effectiveness. It forms the evidence base for everything that follows.

3

Programme design

With a clear diagnosis in hand, we co-design a tailored programme with your team. This is a collaborative process — we bring methodology and best-practice frameworks; you bring organisational knowledge and strategic priorities. Together, we define learning objectives, select delivery formats (workshops, coaching, action-learning projects, peer circles), establish timelines and agree on success metrics.

We do not believe in off-the-shelf programmes. Every workshop module, coaching plan and team exercise is crafted to address the specific themes surfaced during diagnosis. We also build in flexibility so the programme can adapt as new challenges or opportunities emerge during the engagement.

4

Delivery and implementation

This is where the real work happens. Our consultants facilitate workshops, conduct coaching sessions, guide action-learning projects and support leaders as they practise new behaviours in real time. We use a blend of experiential learning, case-based discussion, reflective practice and peer accountability to drive lasting change.

Throughout the delivery phase, we maintain regular check-ins with the sponsoring executive to share progress, surface any concerns and adjust the programme if needed. We also provide participants with practical tools — conversation frameworks, decision-making models, feedback templates — that they can apply immediately in their daily work. Our philosophy is that every session should produce both insight and action.

5

Measurement and sustainability

At the conclusion of the programme, we conduct a thorough evaluation. This includes post-engagement 360-degree assessments (comparing against baseline data), participant feedback surveys, stakeholder interviews and analysis of relevant business metrics. We compile everything into an impact report that quantifies the return on your investment and identifies areas for continued development.

But measurement is not the end. We also work with your internal HR or learning and development team to embed the changes into your ongoing talent management processes — updating competency frameworks, integrating new practices into performance reviews and establishing peer coaching networks that sustain momentum long after our formal engagement ends.

Guiding principles

The values that underpin every engagement and every interaction.

Evidence over intuition

We ground our work in data — psychometric assessments, engagement surveys, behavioural observation and academic research. While intuition has its place, we believe that sustainable leadership development must be built on a foundation of rigorous evidence. This ensures our recommendations are defensible, our interventions are targeted and our outcomes are measurable.

Partnership, not prescription

We are not the kind of consultancy that hands you a 200-page report and walks away. We work alongside your leaders, co-creating solutions and building internal capability so your organisation becomes less dependent on external support over time. Our goal is to make ourselves progressively unnecessary — a sign that the change has truly taken root.

Courage and candour

Effective leadership development requires honest feedback, even when it is uncomfortable. We commit to telling you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. At the same time, we deliver feedback with empathy and respect, creating the psychological safety that allows leaders to be vulnerable, take risks and grow.

Systemic thinking

Individual leaders do not operate in a vacuum. We always consider the broader organisational system — culture, structure, incentives, power dynamics and stakeholder expectations — when designing our interventions. This systemic lens ensures that individual growth is supported (not undermined) by the environment in which leaders operate.

Built for your context

No two organisations face exactly the same leadership challenges. A family-owned agricultural business in regional Western Australia has very different dynamics than a multinational technology company headquartered in Perth. That is why our process is designed to flex — the five phases remain consistent, but the tools, depth and pace are calibrated to your reality.

We have adapted our framework for organisations undergoing rapid growth, post-merger integration, digital transformation, generational leadership transitions and crisis recovery. In each case, the discipline of diagnosis before design and measurement after delivery ensures that the work is grounded, relevant and impactful.

If you would like to understand how our process might apply to your specific situation, we invite you to start a conversation. The discovery call is complimentary and entirely without obligation.
